Ecco i risultati al 2019 Golden Joystick Award con poche sorprese, e tante conferme, come il premio allo studio di sviluppo a Epic Games, il premio Visual per la grafica straordinaria a Devil May Cry 5 (Recensione), il premio PlayStation a Days Gone, quello Xbox a Gears 5, quello Nintendo a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, tutti piuttosto scontati.
Non scontati quello della critica, a Control, mentre piuttosto attesi invece sia il Most Wanted Cyberpunk 2077 che l’Ultimate Game of the Year: Resident Evil 2. Quest’ultimo prende anche il premio per il miglior sonoro, facendo così di CapCom una delle vere regine del 2019. Il gioco PC dell’anno è stato invece ottenuto da Magic: The Gathering Arena in coabitazione con World of Warcraft Classic.

- PC Game of the Year in partnership with Magic: The Gathering Arena: World of Warcraft Classic
